DTCC selects IBM's new telecom expense management solution

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation has selected IBM's new telecom expense management solution to better manage its telecommunications spend.
IBM's telecom expense management services is designed to help clients address the complexities of managing telecommunication ordering, inventory and invoice acquisition and validation of services provided by their telecom vendors.
The service includes consulting, assessments, historical audits and mobile savings analysis.
By providing a centralized solution, IBM helps clients bring together diverse information and processes to streamline business processes and to identify and obtain telecom cost savings.
By utilizing IBM's telecom expense management services, Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) expects to improve the management of order, inventory, bill payment, cost recovery and vendor management, ultimately resulting in an expected return on investment to the company of more than 20% annually by improving process and business controls.
Michael Obiedzinski, vice president for network services at DTCC, said: "IBM's solution provided DTCC with a better grasp of our inventory and telecom spending so that we could identify significant savings opportunities and make more informed decisions about these expenses."
