Vodaphone Signs Deal with Warner Music Group for DRM-Free Tunes, Sealing All Major Labels (VOD,WMG,SNE)

9/21/2009 - Vodaphone (NYSE:VOD) said Monday that it signed a deal with Warner Music Group (NYSE:WMG) to add its catalog to Voda's offering of over-the-air downloads of DRM-free music. The addition makes Vodaphone the first global mobile operator to offer its customers the DRM-free service from all 4 major labels. Vodafone announced similar distribution deals with Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment (NYSE:SNE) and EMI Music on 11th March 2009.
