Indonesian Service Provider Indosat Deploys Comptel Dynamic OSS for Mediation

Comptel Convergent Mediation Solution to Replace Indosat's Former Mediation Systems

Comptel Corporation (OMX Helsinki: CTL1V), the leading vendor of dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, announced today that Indonesian service provider PT Indosat tbk has deployed Comptel Convergent Mediation. This Comptel solution was implemented in collaboration with local system integrator PT Lintas Teknologi Indonesia with the aim of consolidating Indosat's former mediation systems.

"We needed to improve on the efficiency and effectiveness of our former mediation systems," said Roy Kannan, Chief Information Officer of PT Indosat. "To help us achieve a better total cost of ownership and to ensure excellent operation readiness, we wanted a well-known, field-proven mediation product. Comptel is one of the most experienced providers of telecom software solutions in the world, and we are confident that their mediation solution will offer us a superior time-to-market and value for money."

The award-winning Comptel Convergent Mediation solution offers an intelligent approach to mediation and charging. The solution can supply data from any network to any OSS/BSS, thus eliminating the need for multiple mediation platforms. Meanwhile, its vendor-independent components integrate with any legacy system while also extending to next generation environments and services.

Mr. Mika Korpinen, APAC Vice President for Comptel concludes: "We believe in long-term partnerships and are proud to have been selected by Indosat which have been our customer since 2005.
