WPS to upgrade power line from Weston to Mosinee area in Wisconsin
Sep 22, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --
Wisconsin Public Service will be working in the right-of-way of an electricity transmission line running about seven miles from the Weston power plant to the Kronen substation just south of Mosinee, Wisconsin.
Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) has said that work has already begun, and is currently taking place on the Weston power plant grounds.
The company expects to begin performing some pole and conductor replacement along the line in the coming days. Overall, the project will likely continue until the first quarter of 2010.
WPS believes that the upgrades will substantially improve the reliability of the transmission line.
