ARRIS Group to acquire assets of Digeo

ARRIS Group, Inc. has agreed to acquire the assets, including intellectual property portfolio, of Digeo, Inc., a developer of home entertainment technologies, for a cash consideration of approximately $20 million. Both the companies are based in the US.

ARRIS Group is a communications technology company engaged in the design and engineering of equipment for broadband networks.

ARRIS will acquire an extensive intellectual property portfolio in technologies including digital video recording, home networking, e-commerce, and multimedia. The transaction is expected to close early in the fourth quarter of 2009.
