Cashed-up Premier eyes retailer shopping spree

The 2008-09 net profit of clothing retail chains owner Just Group has risen almost 100% to $A82.7. The business was taken over in 2008 for $A800m by Premier Investments, and chair Solomon Lew says the company is looking to allocate as much as $A1bn to further purchases. On 22 September 2009 its stock closed $A0.29 higher at $A8.15.
