Tandberg and Siemens Enterprise Communications expand partnership

Tandberg, a provider of telepresence and video conferencing solutions, and Siemens Enterprise Communications Group, a provider of unified communications solutions, have expanded their strategic relationship to a global resale agreement.

The Siemens portfolio of Unified Communications (UC) products and global services will be complemented by Tandberg 's telepresence and high-definition video conferencing solutions, delivering a managed voice, video and collaboration experience to Siemens's customers.

Going forward, Siemens will place a strong emphasis on mass adoption of video as a part of a complete unified communications platform. This strategy is supported by Tandberg solutions, including the Tandberg portfolio of Multipoint Control Units (MCUs), and group and personal video systems, to offer users integrated video and audio conferencing capabilities.

Siemens has certified Tandberg MCUs as fully interoperable with its OpenScape UC server, a new unified communications software platform that is designed to remove the artificial legacy barriers between traditionally separate voice, video and UC systems to support a comprehensive suite of UC applications.
