NTT and NTT DOCOMO to Participate in ITU Telecom World 2009

Two NTT Group companies, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) and NTT DOCOMO, INC. (NTT DOCOMO), announced today they will participate in ITU Telecom World 2009 at GENEVA PALEXPO in Geneva, Switzerland, from October 5 to 9.
The NTT Group stand will showcase wide-ranging exhibits and demonstrations of the latest services and technologies offered in Japan, as well as highly advanced services to be offered over Next-Generation Network (NGN) and super-fast Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile network. Exhibitions and demonstrations at the NTT Group stand (4241, Hall 4) will include:
NTT:
- NTT Group's vision for the future
- Optical access technologies supporting NGN, including GE-PON, low-friction indoor optical fiber
- NGN services and applications, including HomeICT, IPTV, high quality IP telephones, etc.
NTT DOCOMO:
- Overview of LTE mobile technologies and networks
- Handsets and services, including the summer 2009 lineup, mobile concierge service, intuitive mobile search and navigation, etc.
- CSR initiatives, including mobile phones incorporating universal designs, solar-powered waterproof handset, mobile phone prototype using surplus wood, etc.
