Globecomm Systems Secures Multiple Contracts

Globecomm Systems Inc., a global provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services, announced that the Company has received multiple contract awards from various Government agencies valued at $4.8 million.

The contracts include Globecomm's customizable X band field terminals with AXXSys M&C software and Ku band Auto-Explorer satellite terminals. Globecomm anticipates the completion of these contracts in the Company's fiscal year 2010 fourth quarter ending June 30, 2010.

Mike Plourde, Vice President Government Programs, said, "We are proud to continue servicing the government marketplace as our customers enhance and upgrade their core infrastructure with more advanced technology."

Globecomm Systems provides value-added satellite-based communication products, services and solutions by leveraging its core satellite ground segment systems and network capabilities, with its satellite communication services capabilities. The products and services Globecomm offers include pre-engineered systems, systems design and integration services, managed network services and life cycle support services. Globecomm's customers include communications service providers, commercial enterprises, broadcast and other media and content providers and government and government-related entities.

Based in Hauppauge, New York, Globecomm Systems also maintains offices in Washington, DC, Maryland, New Jersey, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan.
