SAP Names Arrow ECS Distribution Partner in Denmark

SAP Nordics announced it has partnered with international distributor Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics, in an agreement designating Arrow ECS as the sole distributor of SAP business intelligence solutions Crystal Reports and Xcelsius to resellers in Denmark.

"A supply chain is paramount to business success," said Peter Ditlev, regional director, SME, SAP Nordics. "With Arrow ECS, we have found a new distribution partner that strengthens our link between SAP and our Danish customers. We see continued growth for business intelligence in Denmark and the whole Nordic region for SAP, and Arrow ECS will become a part of the solution."

The decision to choose a new SAP BusinessObjects distribution partner was made after SAP Nordics' previous distributors could no longer support its needs, said Ditlev. Arrow ECS said its Denmark office also will support all Norwegian SAP BI channel opportunities until a new distributor is selected for that region.

"Combining SAP's BusinessObjects solutions with our existing mix of software suppliers, Arrow ECS now has a synergy between software systems," said Jorgen Winther, vice president, Nordics, Arrow ECS. "This agreement strengthens our profile in the very interesting midmarket in Denmark and the Nordics."

The groups said this agreement does not affect SAP Nordics' go-to-market strategy for small businesses and medium-enterprise companies (SME) in Denmark, which will continue to be available through SAP channel partners reselling SAP SME solutions.
