Winthrop Resources Closed Acquisition Of Fidelity National Capital (TCB,FNF)

9/26/2009 - Winthrop Resources Corp., a subsidiary of TCF Financial Corp. (NYSE:TCB), said it has closed on the acquisition of Fidelity National Capital Inc. Excluding the repayment of debt, the sale of Fidelity National Capital netted about $50 million for its former parent, Fidelity National Financial Inc. (NYSE:FNF). FNF sells title insurance, specialty insurance, claims management services, and information services. The sale reduced FNF's non-recourse consolidated debt by $214 million.
