Broadcom Corporation has licensed ARM(R) Cortex(TM)-A9 MPCore(TM) multicore processor from ARM Holdings plc, a UK-based designer of microprocessors, physical intellectual property, and related technology and software.
Braodcom is a US-based provider of semiconductors for wired and wireless communications. In addition to the Cortex(TM)-A9 processor, the agreement included ARM NEON(TM) SIMD (Single Instruction, Multiple Data) technology for the ARM Cortex-A series processors.
