Discovery Labs Could Proceed with Surfaxin Program (DSCO)

9/30/2009 - Discovery Labs (NASDAQ:DSCO) said Wednesday that following talks with the Food and Drug Administration, it may be able to continue with its Surfaxin program. The FDA had delayed the respiratory drug for infants as it requested more information about the drug's shelf life. The company is confident that after the discussion it will be able to move forward, aiming for protocol FDA submission in the fourth quarter. Shares of DSCO moved 32.4% higher during early Wednesday trading.
