CSC and Zurich Financial Services close to $2.4 billion deal

CSC has been selected for exclusive contract negotiations by Zurich Financial Services Group for providing data center and information technology infrastructure managed services in Europe and North America.

Both the companies are currently negotiating a ten-year master service agreement that will provide for country-specific agreements to be entered into by the parties. The potential total contract value is estimated to be approximately up to $2.4 billion.

Services covering data center centralization and server virtualization are expected to commence under the master service agreement and one or more country specific agreements in the first half of 2010.

In July CSC won a seven-year IT services outsourcing contract from Switzerland-based dental implant manufacturer Nobel Biocare to provide desktop and helpdesk services, as well as data center operations supporting 38 Nobel Biocare locations in 33 countries.
