Quebecor Media Announces Two Strategic Appointments

Pierre Karl Peladeau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quebecor Media, is pleased to announce the appointment of Philippe Guay as Vice President, National Sales Toronto, of Quebecor Media, and of Hugues Simard as head of the QMI Agency. The appointments continue the organization's efforts to pool its skills and talents to better serve its clients and business partners and set itself apart from the competition in a competitive environment. Quebecor Media is pressing ahead with implementation of a business model based on state-of-the-art media expertise and multiplatform content of the highest calibre in order to strengthen its industry-leading position.

In this newly created position, Philippe Guay will hone Quebecor Media's unique value proposition in the Canadian marketplace to achieve the best fit with advertisers' expectations. To this end, he will continue developing an integrated approach to media solutions, harnessing the complementary strengths of the Company's subsidiaries to provide the best return on customers' advertising dollars.

With more than 16 years of experience in consumer packaged goods and retail, Mr. Guay has an extensive background in marketing, sales and logistics chain management. He was previously Chief Marketing Officer with Laura Secord. He has also worked for other food industry leaders, including H.J. Heinz and Hostess Frito Lay.

Mr. Guay holds a Bachelor of Administration from Universite de Sherbrooke and an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.

Hugues Simard, Senior Vice President, Development and Strategy, becomes head of QMI Agency

No stranger to strategic challenges, Hugues Simard has often been called upon to lead major corporate projects at Quebecor. He will now oversee the next stages in the development of the QMI Agency, a vitally important initiative for Quebecor Media designed to exploit the distinctive content produced by the Company's media properties across different media platforms.

Mr. Simard has been Senior Vice President, Development and Strategy, since 2007. From July 1998 to 2006, he occupied a series of other positions within the Company, including President and Chief Executive Officer of Canoe-Netgraphe Inc., Vice President, Development and Planning of Quebecor World, and President, Commercial Group. Prior to joining Quebecor, Mr. Simard worked in finance, serving as, among other things, Vice President, Corporate Financing, of First Marathon Securities Limited.

Mr. Simard holds a B.A.Sc. in industrial engineering from the University of Toronto and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
