Telos to Deliver Secure, Geomapping Imagery Visualization Solution to Hawaii Air National Guard

Telos(R) Corporation will employ its SE7EN Application Development Framework to provide custom development of a multi-touch, multi-user, computing application for the Hawaii Air National Guard (HIANG). The solution will enhance HIANG's ability to access complex geomapping data and to share it with collaborating agencies.

"The Telos solution is an unclassified, secure application that will allow the Hawaii Air National Guard to leverage its Eagle Vision 5 data, which includes large, detailed geomapping data views," said Col. Joe Garnett, commander of the 201st Combat Communications Group, Hawaii Air National Guard. "The collaborative nature of the multi-touch, multi-user platform will greatly enhance our ability to share information in support of the Guard's mission." The Guard will use the platform to share the data with Pacific Rim allies and facilitate mission planning support.

"Telos has demonstrated clear leadership in the rapid development of secure applications for multi-touch platforms such as Microsoft Surface and Microsoft Windows 7," said Vincent Menzione, general manager of partner strategy, U.S. Public Sector, Microsoft Corporation. "The swift, successful implementation of the Telos framework indicates that the company will be producing many more custom applications for the Department of Defense in the near future."

"The Telos SE7EN Application Development Framework allows rapid development of this secure application to assist the Guard as it optimizes its ability to collaborate and share data to enhance mission effectiveness," said Jeff Schneider, director of the Advanced Technologies Group for Telos Secure Networks. "The SE7EN framework offers the flexibility and agility we need to respond to our customers' custom development requirements for secure applications using the computing platforms of today and tomorrow."

Working closely with customers to quickly understand and map their specific requirements, the Telos Secure Networks' Advanced Technologies Group uses a rapid application development methodology for creating next generation applications on the newest, best of breed technologies, including multi-touch platforms and technologies such as Microsoft Surface and Microsoft Windows 7. Multiple applications are currently available, including the company's SE7EN: Green Initiative.

The task order was awarded under the NETCENTS contract vehicle. Telos serves as a prime contractor on the five-year, $9 billion Air Force indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity NETCENTS contract, which enables the federal government to purchase hardware and software, network-centric voice, video and data products and services, and telephony solutions from preferred contractors. NETCENTS provides a proven competitive edge for the federal government by reducing the time-to-market for critical networking and communications equipment and services.
