Jamii Telecommunication has chosen Veraz Networks's ControlSwitch platform to enable optimized routing and improved network management without having to rely on other providers in Africa.
According to Veraz Networks, working with Adwest, an integrated systems and solutions provider in East Africa and based in Nairobi, Veraz is providing Jamii Telecommunication (JTL) with an advanced voice services infrastructure with centralized management and support for both TDM and IP applications.
The Veraz ControlSwitch solution enables class four switching capabilities, plus control over signaling and transport between central offices of any mix of JTL's TDM and IP-based traffic.
CK Joshua, CEO and chairman of Jamii Telecommunications, said: "We have an established relationship with Veraz, having already deployed its I-Gate 4000 family of media gateways, and we are excited to expand our relationship with the company by installing its ControlSwitch platform. Our ControlSwitch solution will allow us to cost-efficiently manage and control our network traffic in line with our business strategy for regional carrier traffic aggregation and supply globally."
