Sunrise Telecom, a provider of test and measurement solutions, has introduced a Fibre Channel testing capability for the STT Metro.
Fibre Channel technology is used to connect storage area network services for transactional business operations such as banks, transportation and e-commerce, due to its security, performance and stability features, claims Sunrise Telecom.
Sunrise Telecom's system allows technicians to verify the service level agreement (SLA), and to perform advanced testing through the switching fabric. The high port density of STT Metro enables users to run these tests on four ports simultaneously reducing testing time and capital expenses.
Alex Luo, senior product marketing manager of Sunrise Telecom, said: "With a growing number of multi-service lines and switches supporting both Fibre Channel and ethernet technologies, technicians need the flexibility to test both technologies in one test set. STT Metro reduces capital expenditures and simplifies testing by providing multi-service verification for storage area networks and LAN deployment in one single portable unit."
