Oplink Wins Tellabs' 2009 Supplier of the Year Award

Oplink Communications, Inc., a provider of photonic components, intelligent modules and subsystem solutions, announced that it has been named Tellabs' 2009 Supplier of the Year.

The award was presented at Tellabs' Supplier Alliance Day in Naperville, IL on September 17.

This is the first time an optical supplier has received this award.

Oplink won the Supplier of the Year award based on its exemplary performance in all five of Tellabs' key metrics for evaluating its suppliers: technology, quality, responsiveness, delivery and total cost management.

"We are humbled by receiving Tellabs' 2009 Supplier of the Year award," said Joe Liu, President and CEO of Oplink. "With this encouragement, we will invest even more resources in our OMS capabilities, to provide timely solutions for our customers."
