October 9, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- NexCen Brands, Inc. (OTC: NEXC) (Current Market Cap: $12.46 Mil.) said it has appointed Brian D. Lane as vice president and chief accounting officer. He served for seven years as CFO of Blimpie International, Inc., a franchisor of quick service restaurant brands.

Lane most recently served as CAO of Altisource Portfolio Solutions (NASDAQ: ASPS), a newly public company for which Lane was involved in completing its spin-off from Ocwen Financial Corp. (NYSE: OCN).

In his new role, Lane will be responsible for overseeing NexCen's SEC reporting and corporate accounting functions as well as managing its accounting policies and procedures.
