Because polyacetals are widely traded, the ITP Indicator is also a unique gauge of global demand growth because, as demand increases or decreases, it is generally reflected in an increase or decrease in global trade.

Each region's trade is analyzed in terms of its intra-regional trade (trade between countries within the region), total net imports (from other regions) and total net exports (to other regions), with percentage changes versus the prior year. Each region's trade is further analyzed to show the breakdown by region of import sources and export destinations, with percentage changes. The regions covered are Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Each country's trade is analyzed in terms its trading partners, their rank by volume and the percentage change from the prior year. Graphs show monthly import and/or export volume and average prices over the last five years. Quantities are in metric ton; average prices in US dollars.
