Pervasive Software Launches 'Universal Connect!' Initiative

Pervasive Software, a provider of embeddable data management and agile data integration software, announced the launch of a new corporate initiative aimed at connecting virtually all on-premises and on-demand applications and data sources.

Pervasive explained that Universal Connect! is an initiative to provide comprehensive connectivity to essentially anything - from legacy to SaaS applications, data files to databases, Web to mainframe. The company said that Universal Connect! delivers total connectivity to nearly every on-premises or on-demand application or data source. Already offering a broad array of pre-built adapters and connectors, Pervasive stated that it is poised to offer what few other vendors can - speed, accuracy, connectivity and flexibility to many markets including healthcare, financial services and CRM/ERP.

"We wanted to extend our Planview OpenSuite offering, in a short timeframe, with an embedded connector for Planview's applications," said Louise K. Allen, Planview vice president of product management. "Pervasive Universal Connect! delivered for us with extensive connectivity and a rapid development environment. Our enhanced integration enables us to win in a very competitive enterprise market, with faster ROI for our customers and predictable timelines for integration to applications including SAP and Oracle Financials."

Pervasive reported that Universal Connect! includes:

- 400+ reusable connectivity components and solutions

- Connectivity to thousands of on-premises and SaaS applications and data sources

- Extensible connectivity to everything else

Pervasive said it offers comprehensive connectivity options for many categories of data and applications including:

- SaaS and cloud applications

- Databases

- Data files (structured and unstructured)

- Legacy data

- Infrastructure

- Web services

- EDI

- B2B

- CRM

- ERP

- Accounting applications
