Cisco, Lenovo to join hands to counter HP, hearsay

Cisco is carrying out high-level negotiations with Lenovo Group (0992.HK; LNVGY.PK), China's biggest PC maker, in an attempt to counter the Hewlett-Packard (HP), according to insiders.
The two companies aim to build up a cooperation to go against HP's dominant place in server, PC and network market, and the foundation for the two companies to cooperate is to integrate Cisco Unified Communications into Lenovo's desktop and mobile equipments.
The Cisco Unified Communications' customers' are mainly large enterprises, while Lenovo targets small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, the two companies have no overlap in products, and shares the same competitor?HP.
Hearsay also goes that Cisco and Lenovo are jointly rolling out marketing campaigns and sales strategies.
The two companies declined to give any official statement on above rumors.
