Sept. new loans of China's big-four banks at 110 bln yuan, lowest within this ye

The new RMB loans of China's big-four commercial banks are estimated at about 110 billion yuan in September, the lowest monthly granting since the beginning of this year.

The big-four commercial banks, namely the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC, 601398.SH), the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC), the Bank of China (BOC, 601988.SH) and the China Construction Bank (CCB, 601939.SH), granted 160 billion yuan new loans in August.

New RMB loans of BOC came to about three billion yuan in September, the lowest monthly level this year.

Of the four banks, the CCB issued most new RMB loans in September, at 44 billion yuan, as compared with its 34.7 billion yuan new RMB loans granted in August.

New RMB loans of the ICBC and the ABC were at about 30 billion yuan each, and the aggregated new RMB loans of the two banks in the first nine months of this year reached 930 billion yuan and 870 billion yuan, respectively.
