Pizza Pizza Makes It Easy to Celebrate National Pizza Month

Pizza Pizza Limited has launched a line-up of new initiatives that will help customers in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia celebrate National Pizza Month, a celebration of pizza held annually in October. At the heart of the campaign is "Slices for Smiles", a week-long fundraiser that raises proceeds and donations for children's hospitals thanks to a long-standing partnership with Children's Miracle Network.

"Through our partnership with Pizza Pizza, parents can bring a smile to their child's face while helping to protect the wellbeing of children requiring medical attention," said John Hartman, chief international officer for Children's Miracle Network. "Everyone loves pizza, and Canadian hospitals continually need more funding, so the fit could not be better."

Additionally, Pizza Pizza is adding 15 per cent more mozzarella on pizzas in all traditional restaurant locations throughout the country as well as launching the largest monetary prize in its history: $1,000,000 giveaway will be kicked off towards the end of the month.

"Pizza has become an important part of people's lives," said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer for Pizza Pizza and Pizza 73. "As Canada's leading pizza company, we're always looking for new ways to surprise our customers who will love what we have in store this Pizza Month."

Pizza Pizza's observance of National Pizza Month has grown every year since the company started celebrating it in 2007. Since then, through the Slices for Smiles program, Pizza Pizza has raised more than $281,000 for children's charities.
