HP announces new Compaq PCs

Computer manufacturer HP (NYSE:HP) today announced three new consumer and business PCs for its Compaq branded range of computers.
The company released details for the Compaq Presario CQ61z notebook, the Compaq Presario 4010f desktop PC and the Compaq 500B Series desktop PCs.
The Presario CQ61z notebook features a piano black imprint finish, a 15.6" high definition display and is priced at an estimated street price in the US of USD399 with a USD100 discount available between 18 October and 19 December. The notebook is aimed at families or students looking for a mobile PC.
The Presario 4010f desktop PC has an AMD Sempron processor, NVIDIA GeForce integrated graphics and a 250GB hard drive. The system is expected to retail in the US for around USD309.
The Compaq 500 Series desktop PC range is made up of the Compaq 500B with an Intel processor and the Compaq 505B with an AMD processor, with prices expected to start at USD359 and USD409 respectively. Both models offer a number of bays and ports for optional expansion and are aimed at cost conscious business users.
