EMW Signs Partnership Agreement with Metelco

EMW, The Smart Convergence Experts and leading supplier of services and products in the telecommunication, ICT, Engineering and Project Management sector, has signed a partnership contract with Middle East Telecoms Company (Metelco) to resell Metelco's Proteus Call Management solution and Redbox Voice Recording solution to EMW's existing and potential customers throughout the Middle East. These solutions provided by Metelco have been extensively tested and are compatible with Avaya's entire telephony range. Mr. Serjios EL-Hage, CEO at EMW Middle East, says, "We have been working in close association with Metelco on a number of key and successful projects in the recent past. Rather than work together on projects on an ad-hoc basis, we decided to create a partnership that would provide more scope for collaboration between our two companies, to our mutual benefit as well as that of our customers. The cutting-edge Proteus and Redbox communication solutions from Metelco can be easily integrated and are perfectly compatible with the Avaya telephony solutions that we provide. This helps enhance our product and solution offering".

Mr. Raad Jaboori Al-Shaikh, Managing Director, Metelco comments, "We are pleased to be working closely with EMW as it is one of the region's leading IP Telephony and networking solutions provider, and more so, a premier Avaya partner. The Metelco solutions will add significant value to the projects undertaken by EMW in the UAE and beyond".

Proteus is an easy-to-use and truly integrated communication management solution that captures and records data on incoming, outgoing and internal communications directly from a Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Internet Protocol (IP) telephony system or dealer board system. Proteus delivers a new generation of integrated communications solutions for businesses by offering landline phone, mobile, Internet and e-mail analysis in real time. Customers use Proteus to allocate costs throughout the company, increase network efficiency, verify bills, monitor call traffic and employee activity and respond to calls made to emergency services SmartRecord from RedBox is Metelco's new voice recording solution, capable of recording traditional (TDM), VoIP and hybrid telephony solutions in a single recorder. SmartRecord systems are infinitely scalable, capable of recording from 4 - 512 channels in a single recorder. SmartRecord has the flexibility to connect additional recorders and provide a multi-site solution capable of recording thousands of channels.

EMW and Metelco have worked together on three projects involving implementation of the Proteus Enterprise v6.2 call management system solution for prestigious clients like Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) and Royal Jet.

DSO selected the Proteus system to bill companies based at the free zone for all their telephone landline activities. The Proteus system incorporates the UAE Etisalat rates. The tariff rates table allows DSO to match the companies' bills with the main bill from Etisalat. Other additional Proteus reports and modules (e.g. Fraud Guard alarms) are also used.

The Royal Jet project was a multi-site set-up. A centralised system was required to run the billing and monitoring reports for all office locations. Proteus runs an unlimited number of sites and lines from a single PC server. Moreover, the customer is able to view reports from any desktop on the Royal Jet WAN/LAN.

IPIC required the Proteus system to run the billing and monitoring reports for the various departments within their Abu Dhabi office. The costing reports were the main reason for selecting the Proteus system. IPIC has the option of expanding the system to include additional sites/locations and lines/extensions.(C) 2009 Al Bawaba (www.albawaba.com)
