EcoBlu Products Prepares for HUD Opportunities

EcoBlu Products, Inc. (OTCBB:ECOB) announced today that it is preparing to submit its product line for approval by the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) has provided significant funding to support HUD construction projects throughout the U.S..

Recovery Act funds are earmarked to renovate, repair, upgrade, and build affordable and low income housing. The 2010 HUD funding initiatives include $100 million on energy innovation, and $150 million for sustainable communities. There is emphasis within HUD to support projects that improve energy efficiency and require the use of building materials that are beneficial to the environment and support a healthy indoor living environment.

"EcoBlu products are a perfect fit for HUD projects given the requirements of the department to use environmentally friendly building materials. Other requirements of HUD include reducing greenhouse gases, preserving our forests, mold prevention, and LEEDs certification.
