Austrian Airlines names vice president of network management

The Austrian Airlines Group has named Elton D'Souza as the new vice president of its network management division, effective January 1, 2010.

Currently, Mr D'Souza has been employed at Swiss International Air Lines, which, like Austrian Airlines, belongs to Lufthansa Group.

Mr D'Souza will assume responsibility for pricing and revenue management, and network planning as vice president of network management.

Mr D'Souza has been responsible for different positions at Swiss and Swissair since 1983. Most recently, he has been responsible for the division revenue management, pricing and distribution as managing director.

Andreas Bierwirth, member of the executive board at Austrian Airlines, said: "Elton D'Souza is a first-class specialist in his field. He was responsible for outstanding work at Swiss. We are extremely happy to be able to bring him to Austrian Airlines. He will strengthen our team enormously."
