Shire signs license agreement with Sandoz for generic versions of ADDERALL XR(R)

Shire plc, a UK-based biopharmaceutical company, has entered into a license agreement with Sandoz, Inc., as a part of the settlement of all pending litigations with Sandoz. Sandoz is a US-based developer, manufacturer, and distributor of generic pharmaceutical products.
This agreement provides Sandoz with a license to market Shire's own generic versions of ADDERALL XR(R) in the US beginning upon approval of its own generic products by the FDA, and Sandoz would pay Shire a royalty from those sales.
