TCL Communication Sold 1.32mn Mobile Phones in Sep

TCL Communication Technology Holdings Ltd. (SEHK: 2618) sold 1.3233 million mobile phones and mobile phone accessories in September 2009, decreasing 4.1% month on month but climbing 9.58% year on year, the Chinese mobile phone maker announced in a data report recently.

The figure hit 9.2983 million in the first nine months, reducing 9.4% year on year. And the company reaped a domestic mobile phone sales volume of 211,800 in September alone. The decline was mainly resulted from the lingering global financial crisis.

Besides, its parent company TCL Corporation (SZSE: 000100), a Chinese TV giant, is predicted to harvest a net profit of approximate CNY 51 million in the third quarter, inching up about 1.45% year on year; and about CNY 150 million in the first nine months, dropping around 68%, according to its financial report.
