Ingres and SHS-Engineering sign reseller agreement

Open source database management company Ingres Corporation has announced it has signed a reseller agreement with Swiss system retailer SHS-Engineering AG for the distribution and support of Ingres solutions and services in the Swiss market.

As part of the agreement, SHS-Engineering AG will distribute the open source Ingres Database. The financial terms of the agreement were not revealed.

According to the company, the agreement with Ingres will enable SHS to provide its customers with a cost-effective, high-capacity open source database as an alternative to proprietary software solutions.
