Route1 Announces Extension of Expiry Date of Warrants

Route1 Inc. ("Route1" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: ROI), a security and identity-based services company, today announced that the TSX Venture Exchange has approved an extension to the expiry date of 32,360,333 common share purchase warrants, priced at $0.155, from November 7, 2009 to May 7, 2010.

"We are pleased to have been able to get an extension for the warrants for an additional six months," noted Michael D. Harris, Chairman of Route1 Inc. "There are a number of exciting developments which lead us to believe that the $0.155 warrants generating up to approximately $5 million will be valuable to the Company and its shareholders."

Timing Update on the Special Committee Investigation

The Special Committee, consisting of the independent directors, will provide the results of their investigation concerning all claims and accusations against K. Andrew White prior to October 31, 2009.
