BoQ aims to walk in Dragon's footprints

Bank of Queensland CEO, David Liddy, has reported a 1.7% increase in net profit to $A141.7m for the 12 months to August 2009. Liddy said the bank planned to model itself on St George Bank in a bid to compete with Australia's "Big Four" banks. Bank of Queensland previously announced plans to seek a strategic partner, although the plan was delayed in response to the global financial crisis.
