Bank Technology News Names Silver Tail to Its "FutureNow" List

Silver Tail Systems, the leader in the fight against business logic abuse, was named to the Bank Technology News FutureNow list. Focused on improving security in financial services organizations, the FutureNow list recognizes 10 companies that set themselves apart for the innovations they brought to market in the past year. This year, Silver Tail was placed alongside industry giants like IBM, SAS, and JP Morgan Chase.

Silver Tail was lauded for its "must have" technology that baselines legitimate website behavior to identify and stop online fraud activity. "By looking at the activities of the crowd," says Laura Mather, Silver Tail's Founder and VP of Product Marketing, "our analysis tools can quickly identify the deviations that represent fraudulent behavior. Armed with this knowledge, financial institutions may then use our mitigation tools to change the page flows of the website. Not only does this stop fraudulent online behavior as it is occurring, it does so without disrupting legitimate users. This dramatically reduces the time required to close web logic exploits, saving institutions tens of millions of dollars a year in fraud loss, soft costs, and opportunity costs."

Silver Tail's pioneering approach was recently hailed by Jim Bruene, the founder and CEO of Online Financial Innovations: "Silver Tail Systems has impressed the banking industry with their novel approach to the fraud issue." Presenting at his firm's Finovate conference this spring, Silver Tail was voted best presenter in the show. Silver Tail was also recently cited as one of the 10 Tech Companies to Watch by Bank Technology News.

"We are both thrilled and honored to be named to the Bank Technology News FutureNow list," said Mike Eynon, Silver Tail's Founder and CTO. "To be recognized with such large, innovative players is truly validation of Silver Tail's technology and unique approach to this billion-dollar problem. It shows that the financial services industry recognizes the significant cost of business logic abuse and sees real value in the way we can detect and prevent it in real-time."
