SpringSource Extends Leadership Position in Enterprise Java with Spring 3.0

SpringSource, a division of VMware, Inc., (NYSE: VMW) and the leader in Java application infrastructure and management, today introduced Spring 3.0, a major new version of the world's most popular Java development framework that is used by more than three million developers worldwide. Spring 3.0 includes powerful enhancements that make the leading Java programming model ideal for building even the most sophisticated web and service-based applications.

Spring 3.0 removes the complexity from enterprise Java without compromising developer programming power. Developers can gain further efficiencies when using the Eclipse-based SpringSource Tool Suite, the best development environment for building Spring-powered enterprise Java applications, which has been updated to support new Spring 3.0 functionality.

Today at the SpringOne 2GX conference, the annual gathering of developers and the SpringSource community, Rod Johnson, the founder and creator of Spring, will discuss the latest Spring release, SpringSource's commitment to the developer community, and the company's position as the undisputed leader in enterprise Java, during the show's opening keynote.
