Paychex Names Two Vice Presidents of Human Resource Services Sales

Paychex, Inc. today announced new leadership roles for two long-time senior sales managers in its Human Resource Services division.

Janice A. Nearen-Bell has been named the company's vice president of Human Resource Services (HRS) Sales for the Northern United States. Nearen-Bell, a 26-year veteran of Paychex, had served as area vice president of HRS Sales since 2006.

Lonny C. Ostrander has been appointed vice president of Human Resource Services Sales for the Southern United States. Ostrander, who joined Paychex in 1990, most recently served as area vice president of HRS Sales, a position he assumed in 2005.

Additionally, Nearen-Bell and Ostrander have been named officers of the company.

"Janice and Lonny are extremely experienced members of the Paychex senior management team, and they are well-prepared to take on the broader responsibilities that come with these assignments," said Jonathan J. Judge, Paychex president and CEO. "I am pleased to recognize their contributions and offer them these new opportunities."

Janice A. Nearen-Bell joined Paychex as a sales representative in 1983, the year the company went public, and went on to hold various management positions with Paychex. Nearen-Bell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Massachusetts in Boston.

Lonny C. Ostrander, a 19-year veteran of the company, also began his Paychex career as a sales representative, and then advanced into several management roles. Ostrander majored in psychology at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Nearen-Bell and Ostrander succeed Tony Tortorella, who has left Paychex to pursue other opportunities.
