Web Security Technology From Commtouch Enhances DrayTek Networking Solutions

DrayTek Corp. (TSE:6216), a Taiwan-based networking solutions provider, today announced that it has expanded its technology agreement with Commtouch(R) (NASDAQ:CTCH). The new agreement adds Commtouch Web security filtering technologies, in addition to the existing agreement for Anti-Spam, into models of DrayTek's Vigor UTM series for SMB, SOHO and residential users.

"Today's Internet threatscape has become complex, riddled with malware, spam and blended threats that can compromise the integrity and security of small and medium businesses," said Arthur Cheng, DrayTek senior vice president of Sales & Marketing Division. "Our customers deserve to have the most secure solutions, and we have been very satisfied with the results of the Commtouch messaging security solution previously implemented. It was a natural decision for us to choose Commtouch for Web filtering technology as well."

The Vigor series includes three SMB and SOHO product tiers: the Premium SMB package (Dual WAN SSL VPN solution / Multi WAN Security solution / UTM solution), the SMB package (ADSL2+ Security Firewall solution / Dual WAN Security solution / G.SHDSL Security solution) and the SOHO package (Broadband solution / ADSL2/2+ solution). By incorporating Commtouch's Recurrent Pattern Detection (RPD(TM)) anti-spam and now also GlobalView(TM) URL Filtering services, DrayTek ensures its customers' networks are protected by the best available security technology.

"We are pleased by the opportunity to expand our cooperation with DrayTek, now incorporating both our messaging and Web security technologies into its solutions for a more wide-ranging defense," said Ido Hadari, vice president of international sales and business development at Commtouch. "This demonstrates our commitment to driving additional value to our partners through a comprehensive email and Web security offering, and helping them achieve a competitive technical advantage."
