10/22/2009 - Jim Skinner, the CEO of McDonald's (NYSE:MCD), said Thursday that October sales for locations open at least one year will be flat or lower, according to an AP report. He blames the economy and high sales last year, but said that global figures for the month should be positive as a result of strength in other regions. Skinner added that the company is dropping plans to open about 100 stores this year, with about half of those formerly scheduled to open in China.
