'Deutsche Telekom launches Softwareload portal in UK'

Deutsche Telekom has launched its Softwareload download portal in the UK. The new softwareload.co.uk site allows internet users to purchase and download work and home life software applications from various providers. Products available at launch include anti-virus and security, data protection, photos and graphics, plus personal interest, leisure, Internet and browser software. Customers can store their purchases for up to one year in the 'My downloads' section. This service is free for customers signing up before end-2009. After this the service will cost GBP 4.99 for 12 months' secure product storage. users can pay with their credit card or PayPal. The German Softwareload site has registered over 20 million downloads since launch.
