MeadWestvaco names vice president of supply chain

MeadWestvaco, a US-based packaging company, has named Nik Hiremath as vice president of supply chain.
In this role, Mr Hiremath will have responsibility for leading MeadWestvaco's (MWV) global supply chain functions, including sourcing, logistics, distribution and transportation.
Mr Hiremath joined MWV in 2001, where he has served as director of operations planning and strategy, and vice president, procurement and supply management for the consumer and office products division. Most recently, he led the company's global sourcing function as vice president.
James Buzzard, president of MWV, said: "Nik is well positioned to continue to lead the supply chain, working closely with our businesses, and ensuring we maintain a strong productivity discipline through the implementation of best practices."
