Wireless Matrix releases TechDirect solution

Wireless Matrix has released its TechDirect solution for representing work orders on a map, which is available for general subscription.

According to the company, TechDirect is a tool within FleetOutlook for combining workforce management data to the real-time locations of mobile assets. TechDirect supports traditional workforce management solution by overlaying key work order data from the workforce management application with real-time vehicle location intelligence on a single FleetOutlook map.

By combining work order information with vehicle location, dispatchers and field service managers can reduce the frequency with which they swivel chair between the workforce management application and FleetOutlook. TechDirect provides one centralized view at the dispatchers' fingertips for more efficient routing, scheduling and dispatch, the company said.

The company has added that the approach provides dispatchers and field service managers with the visibility they need for smart decision-making to increase the productivity of their mobile workforce, to improve customer satisfaction and to decrease the overall operational costs of their enterprise.

Adam Wegel, senior director of product management at Wireless Matrix, said: "TechDirect tightly integrates two types of data sets: location-based data from FleetOutlook and work order data from a workforce management solution.
