Fall 2009 Star Award Winners Named

The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA) announced that Aruba Networks, EMC, Hewlett-Packard, Invensys-Wonderware, Juniper Networks, McAfee, Netezza, Oracle, SAP AG, Schlumberger Information Solutions, Symantec, and Taleo have been named winners of the 2009 Star Awards for Service Excellence.

The companies were honored at the Technology Services World (TSW) conference in Las Vegas. TSW, a source of learning and peer networking for the services industry, is hosted by TSIA. TSIA is newly formed from the recently announced merger of AFSMI, SSPA, and TPSA, the three professional associations of the services and support industry.

"Our industry recognizes the Star Awards as the highest honor in the service and support industry, and the only industry peer recognition of its kind," said Stephen Smith, CFO and CIO for TSIA. "The companies that we honor today have all provided world-class support and are acknowledged by their peers as being the best in the business."

The 2009 Star Awards for Service Excellence winners by category are:

- Service Excellence in Complex Application Support - Enterprise: EMC

- Service Excellence in Complex Application Support - SMB: Netezza

- Service Excellence in Consumer Support: McAfee

- Service Excellence in Continual Improvement: Aruba Networks

- Service Excellence in Emerging Business Support: Taleo

- Service Excellence in Innovative Support: Hewlett-Packard

- Service Excellence in Integrated Services: Oracle

- Service Excellence in Mission Critical Support - Hardware: Juniper Networks

- Service Excellence in Mission Critical Support - Software - Enterprise: Symantec

- Service Excellence in Mission Critical Support - Software - SMB: Invensys-Wonderware

- Service Excellence in Outstanding Improvement: Schlumberger Information Solutions

- Service Excellence in Partner Management: SAP
