BSI, EXIN Jointly Bolster Up China IT Service Management

BSI Management Systems Certification (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will cooperate with the Examination Institute for Information Science (EXIN) in China in terms of training and examination of IT service management and information security.
Both sides have inked a memo, according to which their cooperative examinations include ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), international standards for IT service management ISO/IEC 20000 (ITSM-ISO20000), the ASL (Application Services Library), and the BiSL (Business Information Services Library).
Their information security management and IT test programs include the SCP (Security Certified Program) based on the ISO 27001 as well as other certification programs provided by the EXIN in China.
As the first step, BSI plans to hold trainings for the EXIN's ITSM-ISO 20000 Foundation, ISO 27001 Foundation, ITIL Foundation, and ASL in December 2009.
IT service management largely improve the utilization of IT resources, lower costs of corporate customers, and create opportunities for them to enhance their competitiveness, particularly, amid the financial crisis, when they are striving to save costs.
