Ikanos Communications reduces Q3 net loss to USD15.5m year-over-year

Ikanos Communications Inc (Nasdaq:IKAN on Tuesday reported a GAAP net loss of USD15.5m or USD0.40 per share for the third quarter, ended 27 September 2009.

This was in comparison with a net loss of USD6.4m or USD0.22 per share in the second quarter of 2009 and with a net loss of USD26.7m or USD0.93 per share in the third quarter of 2008.

Revenues for the quarter were USD29.3m, as compared with revenues of USD22.4m in the second quarter of 2009 and revenues of USD24.2m in the third quarter of 2008.

The company also provided outlook of revenue between USD55.0m to USD58.0m in the fourth quarter of 2009.

Ikanos Communications is a provider of advanced broadband semiconductor and software products for the digital home.
