Virgin Media Group subsidiary ntl:Telewest Business has won a contract
from UK insurance company Endsleigh to upgrade its network to meet
growing online demand. The upgrade will allow Endsleigh to respond more
effectively to its customers internet and telephone enquiries through
speedier access to policies and quotations. Over 80 percent of
Endsleigh's business originates online, and the company has transferred
much of its customer handling, quotation and transaction fulfilment
online. Ntl:Telewest Business has provided a high-speed 100 Mbps
National Ethernet circuit to deliver managed internet services between
Endsleigh's Cheltenham headquarters and a principal site in Burnley.
