LodgeNet Interactive partners with Koninklijke Philips Electronics

LodgeNet Interactive Corporation, a US-based provider of interactive television and broadband solutions, has entered into an agreement for licensing its b-LAN(TM), broadband local area network, technology to Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.

Philips is a Netherlands-based manufacturer of medical systems, consumer electronics, lighting products and semiconductors.

Under the agreement, Philips Electronics will embed LodgeNet's patented b-LAN technology into its television sets, enabling the delivery of a range of interactive content including centralized free-to-guest (FTG) channel management, video on demand content and interactive guest services.
