Supply Chain Management Trends, Strategies for the Decade Ahead Are Focus of i2 Supply Chain Leader Forum
DALLAS, Oct 28, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Company: i2 Technologies, Inc. (ITWO)
The economic volatility of the last 18 months has put an increased focus on the need for agility, responsiveness and greater global collaboration in supply chains. An examination of how companies have successfully managed in this difficult business environment is critical as companies seek strategies to plan for--and manage--their businesses in the decade ahead. i2 Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITWO) can help.
On Nov. 10, i2 will host the i2 Supply Chain Leader Forum, a one-day virtual event focusing on supply chain management trends and supply chain strategies for 2010 and beyond. The i2 Supply Chain Leader Forum is free, accessible to attendees around the world via webcast, and will feature virtual presentations, panel discussions, live chats and an exhibit hall with more than 200 collateral resources available for downloading.
"We understand the supply chain pressure companies continue to face and have designed this forum to give them the opportunity to learn more about how to gain greater efficiencies, mitigate risk and plan for an uncertain future through a focus on supply chain excellence," said Hiten Varia, executive vice president, Global Customer Operations and chief customer officer, i2. "Because this event is free and virtual, it opens the discussion to many individuals who face corporate travel constraints but have a desire to examine supply chain challenges and solutions, and interact with their peers. We believe this event will provide the opportunity for the robust discussion, learning and information sharing that they are seeking."
Powerful presentations, discussion opportunities
The i2 Supply Chain Leader Forum features analysts from AMR Research, and executives from Agility, Armstrong & Associates, the i2 User Group, LG Electronics, Penske Logistics, Sony Electronics, UTi and i2.
Live scheduled chats with i2 thought leaders will occur throughout the day on topics such as sustainability, risk management, on-demand solutions, global sourcing strategies, and emerging trends in brand-owner/retailer relationships. The live chat technology allows for meaningful discussions and best practice sharing by the i2 thought leaders hosting the chats, as well as the event participants.
Attendees can visit kiosks for more detailed information on areas such as demand management, factory planning and scheduling, inventory optimization, network design, retail planning, sales and operations management, shelf-centered collaboration, supply chain planning and order promising, supply chain visibility, supply management, transportation planning and execution and transportation procurement. In addition, i2 Education Services and the i2 User Group will have information kiosks. Exhibit chat times throughout the day will allow attendees to interact with i2 solution experts and arrange for one-on-one demos of i2 solutions.
