10/29/2009 - Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO) CEO Carol Bartz sought to impress analysts Wednesday, declaring, "Today is the beginning of a journey back to respect," according to a Reuters report. She also discussed the company's pending deal with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), which had the deadline pushed back from midnight Wednesday to an unset time. "This is just to make sure the definitive agreement has all the complexity in there that is needed to do a 10-year deal," Bartz said. CFO Tim Morse said that the company expected to achieve operating margins between 15% and 20% by 2012. Yahoo hopes that its new partnership with Microsoft will help it gain share from dominant Google (NASDAQ:GOOG).
