Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (Nasdaq: VRTX) today announced that it will webcast its presentations at the Oppenheimer 20th Annual Healthcare Conference on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 2:10 p.m. EST and at the Credit Suisse 18th Annual Healthcare Conference on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 7:30 a.m. MST (9:30 a.m. EST).

The presentations will be webcast live and may be accessed from 'Events & Presentations' on the home page of Vertex's website at www.vrtx.com. A replay of the webcasts will also be available on the Company's website for two weeks following each presentation.
